Our story
Sealed With Tradition. Served With Heart.
Vaaraahi began with a pot. Not a fancy one — a heavy-bottomed handi, its lid sealed shut with a rope of dough, sitting over a low flame while an entire household waited for the moment it would be cracked open. That first breath of saffron, fried onion and slow-cooked meat is the memory this kitchen was built to recreate, plate after plate.
The name Vaaraahi carries the idea of abundance and protection — a table where there is always enough, and always room for one more chair. It's why our biryanis come in family packs, why the spice can be turned up for the brave or gentled for the little ones, and why the last thing you'll hear on your way out is an invitation to come back.
Our menu travels the map we grew up eating: Hyderabadi dum biryanis, the gongura and avakai boldness of Andhra, Rayalaseema roasts, Chettinad depth, Kerala's coastal curries, tandoori classics from the north, and the street-corner joy of kothu parotta and Indo-Chinese. Biryani's and beyond — that's not a slogan, it's the whole plan.
- Small-batch masalas — ground and blended in our kitchen, never from a jar.
- The dum discipline — sealed pots, low flames, and no shortcuts on time.
- A table for everyone — full vegetarian range, clearly marked, cooked with equal pride.
